Here at Zephyr we can produce the perfect burgee or pennant for your Yacht Club in various substrates. We utilise both digital printing and silk screen printing. The Flags can be finished with D-rings, eyelets or the more traditional rope and toggle. We can supply a burgee or pennant in a number of sizes depending on their final use whether it be up high on the rigging or at the bow of your yacht.
Our most common substrate is knitted zephpol, (knitted polyester 110g) usually printed as a single thickness flag, we also have the option of the more traditional woven polyester (155g), again this is printed as a single thickness flag with the image reading correctly from one side and mirror image on the reverse. We offer double sided burgees and pennants if required. Here at Zephyr we can understand the various shapes associated with yachting flags, pennants, burgees, swallow tail and fishtail flag, each with the option to distinguish it as a commodore, rear commodore and vice commodore.
We are constantly asked for harder wearing flags, flags that remain intact for much longer avoiding expensive site visits to change flags and environmentally friendly by printing less flags. Our solution is our Zephpol IEP Intelligent Engineered Polyester) a breakthrough against natural wear and tear; engineered cloth that protects against the elements. Single thickness 155g flags printed from each side to give enhanced graphic – reading correctly from one side and mirror image on the reverse.
There is of course an initial high outlay for flags of such quality and longevity but recouped handsomely over their lifetime. We have tested the IEP cloth at coastal locations proving the longer lifespan and resistance to harsher conditions.
